The Shannon Blueway is a high quality section that follows alongside the Lough Allen Canal and takes you to the floating boardwalk over Acres Lake. From here the trail takes you primarily through farmland and is well sign-posted. The Leitrim Way is a quality trail that was only completed in 2019.
